Amigurumi doll Emma pattern is available

Print Friendly and PDF
My amigurumi doll Emma finally became a pattern. You can find the English pattern on Craftsy and on Ravelry. For the pattern I changed few little details compared to the original Emma doll. I was not entirely happy with the striped sleeves as making the seamless colour change after every row was very fiddly and not worth it. So I decided to change the design a little and also make a frilly edge for the sleeve. The skirt got the same frilly edge as the sleeves and the bloomers underneath the dress. Instead of adding the flower to the shoe I embellished it with a narrow satin ribbon and a bow. I am really happy how the doll and the pattern turned out. The skill level for the pattern is advance intermediate but I included photo tutorials for all the steps so a beginner with some crocheting skills should be able to make the doll. I received very good reviews from my pattern testers so this motivates me a lot.

I used one of my favourite yarns for amigurumi to crochet the doll - DROPS Muskat. The yarn is not easy to work with, it is quite splitty but it is mercerized cotton and has a very nice sheen to it. There are also many bright and subtle colour nuances available which I really like. When I finished the first Emma doll I also shared the picture on Garnstudio DROPS Design's Facebook page and I was so surprised that she became so popular. It was not my initial plan to write a pattern because the doll was just supposed to be a gift for my daughters friend. So many people contacted me and asked about the pattern so I eagerly started working on it. I always make notes when I crochet something so fortunately I did not have to start from the very beginning.

Emma will make any little girl very happy. Get your pattern and spread the word among your craftsy friends. If you have any questions about the pattern, please contact me for help. Happy crocheting!
